Two properties each sell for almost $5 million
November 21, 2024
During the week of June 5-9, 2023, 1,275 documents were registered in our office. Included in the total recordings were 282 Trust Deeds (loans) with a value of $310.8 million. The highest loan of the week was funded by Home Federal Bank for a total of $3.04 million. Home Federal had a second showing on the list of largest loans in the amount of $1.01 million. First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company funded $2.3 million, People’s Bank of the South had a loan for $1.69 million, and Truist loaned $1.41 million.
The most expensive of these was between the state of Tennessee and Anthony P. Cappiello Jr. The former Highway Patrol station across from West Town Mall went for $2.1 million.
In the second sale, Schubert Construction LLC sold 5 parcels, 7919-7933 Westland Drive, to Westland Development Group LLC for $1.25 million.
The three-year comparison chart has been updated as of last Friday. Although the quantity of Trust Deeds (loans) has decreased 53%, the values have only dropped 23%. Thirty percent fewer transfers have been recorded than in 2021, but the value difference is less than 1%. We are still seeing newcomers from other areas and more housing is still being built – continuing to prove that Knox County is a great place to live!
