We saw another steady week in the Register’s Office for the week ending August 21, 2026. Comparable to the two weeks prior, we recorded 1,560 total new instruments pertaining to real property. That is only 42 more recordings than the week before.
In financing, we processed 329 new trust deeds on land with a cumulative value of $110.52 million. This reflects $15 million less in value on just under 20 fewer transactions. Eleven loans were recorded with values of $1 million or more. Pinnacle Bank topped the chart with the only loan greater than $5 million at $7.3 million. Home Federal Bank of Tennessee made the list twice with loans of $1.01 and $1.12 million. The other high-value loans are outlined below:
We recorded 210 warranty deeds on land worth $96.31 million to capture sales activity throughout the week. Thirty less property transfers captured just under $20 million less in value compared to the week prior. There were 13 sales with price tags of $1 million or more, but only one was a commercial transaction.
That commercial sale took place in the Lovell Heights area of West Knoxville. The 7.34-acre plot that formerly homed West Knoxville Florist sold for $2.65 million. Terravet 10231 Kingston Pike, LLC purchased that parcel from Innovetive Knoxville RE Holdings, LLC.
The year-to-date comparison chart has been updated through August 21, 2026:
