2,052 new instruments during the week ending May 22

Last week, things picked up a bit in the Register’s office. We recorded a total of 2,052 new instruments during the week ending May 22, 2026. Financing on land with a cumulative value of $466.69 million accounted for 414 new trust deeds. Fifty-one additional transactions reported over $300 million more in value compared to the week prior. Only ten mortgages were recorded with a value over $1 million. They are outlined below:

Looking at sales, 313 new warranty deeds were recorded with an aggregate value of $142.87 million. This represents nearly 100 more transactions and $50 million in value over the week before. Sixteen properties had sales prices of over $1 million. Four of those were commercial transactions.
The most valuable transfer of the week happened in East Knoxville off Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The building that holds Eternal Life’s Restoration Outreach changed hands. Emerald Holdings, LLC purchased the property from Eternal Life for $4.6 million.

The next large transfer was for Phase 2 of The Haven at Hardin Valley subdivision. Turner Homes Inc. purchased additional lots for development from SH Couch Mill, LLC. The total on that transaction was $1.69 million.
Coal Creek Enterprises, LLC sold commercial property off Amherst Road. EDRUMSUS, LLC purchased 3502 Overlook Circle, which is situated in the industrial park not far from Middlebrook Pike. That parcel sold for $1.3 million.

The last high-value transfer of the week also took place in West Knoxville. A private party sold the building and parking lot located at 118 Mabry Hood Road, just a short distance from Kingston Pike. Paragon Development, LP completed that transaction with a sum of $1.16 million.
