My family and I had a great time at the Tennessee Valley Fair this weekend. If you haven’t already been, I recommend you take the time to go enjoy the delicious foods, the awesome rides if you’re brave enough, and maybe even one of the big-name concerts that are happening.
The four-day week brought by Labor Day added 1,107 new documents to the records. Trust Deeds (loans) accounted for 256 recordings with a combined value of $ 108.83 million. Central Bank and Trust funded the highest value loan of the week for $33.58 million. The next largest loan, coming in at $26.67 million, was backed by Berkley Point Capital LLC. The eight others with values of $1 million or more are outlined below.
Property sales (Warranty Deeds) made up 213 of the total documents. In sum, the property transferred valued $86.50 million.
There were 11 sales recorded with property values over one million dollars. Three of those were commercial properties. The Southernaire Apartments complex in the Vestal Community of South Knoxville was one of the three. Two private owners sold the brick apartment building to AVE B 201 LLC for $1.38 million.
Another private party sale in the commercial category was the former grocery store and current home of Tennessee Truck Driving School. Henson Family Properties LLC purchased the 7.75-acre property at 7142 Clinton Highway for $2.4 million.
The third commercial property is also a private-party purchase. J and J Properties LLC sold the building at 1501 Linden Ave to the owner of Prince Technologies for $2.6 million.
